I don’t just talk about bad choices; I’ve made them, owned them, and suffered their consequences. My story is raw, unfiltered, and packed with lessons that hit hard!
Through humour, honesty, and the kind of storytelling that only comes from a “been there, done that” background, I bridge the gap between warning and reality. I want your community, especially your youth, to know the truth about the lifestyle that seems cool until it’s
anything but.
My mission? To shine a light on the road they may be heading down and help them make the U-turn I was lucky enough to find—but not without a long, hard life of lessons and regrets.
Highlights of My Unique Qualifications
-Crisis Management: Whether it’s a dangerous situation or the judge’s stern look, I know how to think on my feet.
-Risk Assessment: Spoiler: It’s never worth it.
-Social Engagement: Coordinated team-building activities, on one occasion with 28 officers simultaneously. It didn’t end well for me (hog-tied, pepper-sprayed, and three assault charges on police officers), but there’s a lesson in that too.

Hello, my name is James Dean,..
let’s just say I’ve lived a life full of “hands-on experience” in understanding the consequences of bad decisions.
With a colourful portfolio that includes
(deep breath):
-Street robbery, GBH, wounding with intent, burglaries, thefts, assaults (at least eight against law enforcement alone!)
-Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs
(cocaine)
-Possession of Class B drugs
(cannabis)
-Dangerous driving, drink driving,
…and yes, a bonus category for all the things I didn’t get caught for. I’m living proof that the wrong choices come with a heavy price tag.
But here’s the thing: if there’s anyone overqualified to speak to the community about the dangers of walking the wrong path, it’s me. You name it, I’ve probably done it, seen it, or run from it (usually while trying not to get shot). I’m a graduate of the “School of Hard Knocks.”
Some call it a prison sentence, but I prefer the term “intensive character development program!”

I’ve lived a life that many people don’t make it out of. Now, my only "hustle" is to steer others away from the mistakes I made and toward the potential they might not realize they have.
I have put together an amazing group of lived experience speakers that cover some of society’s most hard-hitting topics, such as county lines, child exploitation, addiction, mental health, gang culture, plus much more. All my speakers are as passionate as myself to tell their stories to educate and empower others within our communities.
